On 29 April 2026, the Kangaroo Flat Bowls Club again hosted the All Abilities Regional School Bowls Event.
It was a wonderful event for the club and for the participants from four schools – Bendigo Special Development School, Kalianna Special School, Maryborough Education Centre and Echuca Rich River Special School.
Special thanks to all the volunteers who helped run the event.
Kangaroo Flat Bowls Club is an inclusive organisation and always seeks to cater for bowlers of all abilities.

Ken served twelve years on the Maintenance Committee, and served as Chair of the Maintenance Committee.
He served two terms on the Men’s Section Committee, and two terms on the Selection Committee (both Midweek and Weekend Pennant).
Ken served as Manager of Country Week for four terms, and served three years on the Bar Committee working many years as barman up to 2023.
Ken Packer has a distinguished record of Service to the Kangaroo Flat Bowls Club and is thoroughly deserving of a SERVICE AWARD.
ALISON FERGUSON
Ali joined the Kangaroo Flat Bowls Club in the 2009/10 season where she was to continue having success as a bowler, as well as contributing off the greens to the growth of the Kangaroo Flat Bowls Club.
She was the Ladies Singles Club Champion in 2012; played both Midweek and Weekend Pennant, primarily as a skip, and actively involved herself in bowls administration as a member of the Selection Committee, serving a term as Chair of that Committee. Alison was President of the Ladies Section for three terms (2018, 2019 & 2020) at a time when the Club was debating a change to its administration structure. During this period Ali served on the Board of Management as the Ladies Section Representative.
Ali was a great contributor to the Club, working countless hours in the kitchen as part of the team catering for Club tournaments/events and functions. This is the embodiment of Ali’s contribution to the Kangaroo Flat Bowls Club – not only a competitive lawn bowler, but a wonderful worker for the Club.
When a Tournament Secretary position needed to be filled, It was to be Ali who assumed the responsibility of ensuring that the Kangaroo Flat Bowls Club was well represented at different tournaments across the Region.
Health issues have kept Alison off the greens of late but her spirit has not left the Club. Her true Scottish accent is often heard cheering her club members from the sideline.
Alison Ferguson has been a great servant of the Kangaroo Flat Bowls Club and thoroughly deserves her SERVICE AWARD.
